Final Fantasy VII Rebirth starts well, even if you never played any FFVII before

I have been playing three video games on my PlayStation 5 this past week—all for the first time.
They are:
Final Fantasy VII (first released on PlayStation in 1997; took me a while to get to it!)
Final Fantasy VII Remake (available to play since 2020)
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (came out out yesterday)
At least one friend has told me this is a terrible idea. He might be right. But it also might be one of my best, as long as it doesn’t break my brain.
It helps that Rebirth is surprisingly friendly to new players.
