I’m late. Very late. But I want to tell you about two interesting games I checked out about, oh, six weeks ago?

Let’s blame a frenzied news cycle, with a cascade of breaking news distractions (and it keeps happening, RIP Game Informer), or blame my propensity to fall down rabbit holes.

Just don’t blame the developers. They’re making interesting stuff. 

And since one of these games, Bounty Star, is inspired by life in the Arizona desert, can we just call my tardiness a tribute to the languid pace of life under a hot sun? 

The other game, Yar’s Rising, is an unusually creative send-up to a classic video game.
